Introducing: Cove Beta Features

We are excited to announce the launch of Cove Beta Features. Now it’s easier than ever to try out new capabilities and offer direct feedback to our developers.

We believe that Beta Features will:

  • Help us validate and fine-tune new functionality before bringing into the core product experience.
  • Give you more opportunities to provide feedback and shape the product.

New in Beta Features: Enhanced Device Properties

Now that you know what Beta Features are all about, let’s look at a current example: Enhanced Device Properties

Enhanced Device Properties completely rethinks the way that critical information about an endpoint is displayed in Cove. But you don’t need to take our word for it. To access Enhanced Device Properties and try it for yourself, simply click on the flask icon in the nav bar.

Key Highlights:

  • Reimagined experience: A completely refreshed look and feel to help streamline navigation and simplify core tasks.
  • Detailed summary: Access a vastly enhanced summary of your devices. We’ve consolidated an array of device specific details and statistics into a single tab for a more powerful device overview.
  • Export capabilities: Effortlessly export data to facilitate deeper analysis and comprehensive reporting.
  • Filter enhancements: Easily customize advanced filters to find the information you need much more efficiently.
  • Enhanced Recovery Verification tab: now it contains information about all the Continuity plans to which the device has been added.
  • Improved performance: Enjoy a much faster and responsive experience to help you achieve your goals more effectively.

As noted above, Beta Features allows you to offer direct feedback to Cove Engineers. So, stay tuned for Beta Features announcements as they become available.

N-able Mail Assure: May Features and Updates Release

This month, in addition to the usual bundle of bug fixes and minor improvements, we’ve enhanced the Customer Management menu with more settings for the Incoming Filter service as well as with the Outgoing Filter settings at the partner/customer level. Additionally, we’ve improved the domains management and the experience of managing technicians.

Advance notice. Risk Intelligence release 7.0

We’re thrilled to announce an upcoming release for N-able Risk Intelligence, scheduled to roll out across various regions on different dates starting from Tuesday May 14. This update focuses on bug fixes and performance enhancements to ensure a smoother and more reliable user experience.

Bug fixes:

  • NCIP-5614 – Unable to generate report
  • NCIP-5438 – Branding on RI reports – PDF Version
  • NCIP-5189 – Getting “Forbidden” error page when logging in to Risk Intelligence using App switcher from Cove
  • NCIP-3173 – Cannot Access Risk Intelligence Account Settings

N-central Mac Agent v 1.11.0.562

We are pleased to announce a new Mac Agent release for N-central.

This release brings in the following improvements and features.



New Firewall Status Monitor

A new out of the box monitor has been added showing you the status of the devices Firewall, this accompanies the Firewall enable/disable script added to the most recent N-central version allowing you to action changes if needed.


Improved Asset information gathering and visibility

The agents ability to gather and show asset information has also been improved, the following improvements should be visible:

  • Make and Model is populated on Overview
  • Memory Slots (Populated/Total) is populated on Overview
  • Last Boot-up is populated on Overview
  • Last Boot-up field is populated on Operating System
  • OS Architecture is populated on Operating System
  • Manufacturer is populated on Hardware
  • Model is populated on Hardware
  • Chassis Type is populated on Hardware
  • Architecture is populated on Hardware
  • Memory Slots is populated on Hardware

Web Protection: Scheduled Maintenance starting Tuesday May 14th

Release Take Control Admin Area

We are very pleased to announce the new version of the Take Control Admin Area including the new Audit Log functionality and some bug fixes and improvements.

  • Comprehensive Audit Log functionality. At the Admin Area, on “Reports > Audit Log”, it is now possible to view and filter all the actions allowed by the product
  • Fixed several small issues on the UI and localization in the Admin Area
  • Fixed a bug happening when a group with devices was deleted
  • Corrected a bug with the request description for Applets
  • Fixed an issue with characters validation for the Agents’ “Local Authentication” option
  • Solved an issue that was causing errors when the technicians tried to generate a shared link for a session video
  • Fixed a problem with sending an WoL command on certain circumstances
  • Fixed a cosmetic problem where an Applet request could be cancelled by the remote user but still be displayed as apparently pending

New N-able Login available for N-central SaaS partners

Release Notes

N-able’s MSP SSO authentication solution provides seamless secure access to your N-able products with multi-factor authentication and is protected following our ISO certified security standards allowing you to seamlessly access your products and the key success resources you need to help grow your business.

N-able Login is another step toward unifying the technologies that N-able provides as well as the tools partners want to manage their business with. To learn more about N-able’s Ecoverse vision please watch a video from Mike Adler CTO of N-able. Unlocking new features and technology on our roadmap on the near horizon.

N-able login (MSP SSO) is ideal for partners who are currently using the standard local login. Partners using 3rd party identity providers like EntraID should wait until we integrate them (shortly) into MSP SSO to create a unified authentication experience across your N-able Ecoverse.

N-able Login (MSP SSO) will become available to N-central On-premises partners in the coming months, and we will continue to communicate as it is available.

Update to N-central Analytics – Patch Compliance dashboard

An enhancement has been made to the N-central Analytics Patch Compliance Dashboard which may reduce the number of patches appearing as ‘No Approval’ or ‘Pending’ and therefore improve compliance scores.

The change involves excluding non-superseded, but no longer required, patches to match the behaviour of N-central Patch Management.

The change may not be visible immediately, depending on which Analytics package you are using but should have taken affect for all Analytics users by noon on May 1st, 2024.
