N-able Cloud Commander Adds Windows 365 Management

We’re excited to announce a significant update to N-able Cloud Commander, focusing on enhancing Windows 365 management capabilities. As a cloud-based service that delivers a virtualized Windows experience, Windows 365 is a game-changer for MSPs looking for standardized, scalable endpoint management, particularly for remote and contract workers. This latest release, part of our strategic partnership with Microsoft, brings a suite of powerful features designed to make Windows 365 more accessible and manageable for MSPs. With this release N-able Cloud Commander can now provide MSP’s a single place to manage their Azure Virtual Machines & Azure Virtual Desktop session hosts, Windows 365 Cloud PCs, and Intune devices.

Comprehensive License, User, and Device Information for Windows 365

  • View & Assign Microsoft 365 User Licensing: Our new license view lets you manage all Microsoft 365 user licenses, including Windows 365 Enterprise. This streamlined interface allows you to see and assign licenses efficiently.
  • Execute Basic Windows 365 VM Tasks: Perform essential tasks like rebooting, renaming, refreshing, and re-provisioning Windows 365 VMs directly from Cloud Commander.

Advanced License Management for Windows 365

  • New License Management Screen: This feature enables partners to see all their Microsoft 365 Cloud licenses in one place. You can quickly view the number of licenses in various assignment phases—purchased, usable, in use, and not in use—and assign licenses with ease.
  • Frontline Work Licenses Visibility: While these licenses are not assigned to users, they are displayed to provide a comprehensive view of tenant licenses, aiding in license cost management.

Enhanced Exchange Management for L1 Technicians

Exchange Management automation for L1 technicians is expanded with new capabilities, including:

  • Converting user mailboxes to shared mailboxes and vice versa.
  • Setting forwarding options.
  • Hiding/Showing mailboxes in the Global Address List (GAL).
  • Managing delegation/permissions (send as, send on behalf of, read access, full access).
  • Viewing and amending mailbox details (Display Name, Email Address, Alias, and Organization).
  • Deleting shared mailboxes.

Streamlined Onboarding Wizard

Our goal is to make onboarding into Cloud Commander as smooth and self-sufficient as possible. The new onboarding wizard, equipped with enhanced error logging and handling, is a significant step towards this objective.

What is coming next?

In the coming weeks we should see the final release of additional Microsoft Teams automations for L1 technicians as well as the ability to add NON-CSP managed tenants that partners are responsible for along side the CSP account tenants.

New data models in N-central Analytics Direct Data Access

We’re happy to share that new data domains are available in Direct Data Access for N-central Analytics.

Seven fact tables for the following data domains are available to use with new and previously released dimension tables:

Examples of insights that can be made with this data include:

  • Last time a device was rebooted (combine with Device Logon domain to add insights related to the last user)
  • Total capacity (combine with Utilization domain for insights on capacity left)
  • Incidents over time by customer and device

On top of the new domains, a new column – Patch_Status – has been added to the Fact_Patch_Lifecycle table to group patches into the high-level patch lifecycle stages used in the Patch Compliance dashboard. The lifecycle stages are described here.

The Data Dictionary where table content is described in more detail has been updated.

Please be advised SentinelOne has identified an issue with the EDR Linux Agent Version 23.4.2 that can cause the agent to go offline during upgrade or downgrade processes. It is strongly recommend to avoiding upgrades to or downgrades from Linux Agent Version 23.4.2 GA and EA.

N-able Mail Assure: July Features and Updates Release

We are pleased to announce enhancements to our reporting options by adding an easier way to configure the Automatic Email Scout Report as well as the option to temporarily disable the Email Scout Report.

 In the next two weeks, we will introduce new options to improve the reports configuration experience. Additionally, the legacy Automatic Email Scout Report option from the Domain Settings page will be deprecated.

N-sight: Device Inventory Advanced Filtering Updates, Sophos Monitoring Antivirus Update Check, New Automated Tasks for Apple

We are pleased to let you know that we have a few recent updates to N-sight, including enhanced filtering capabilities within the Device Inventory date columns, multiple selection in the North Pane using ‘ctrl+a’ and restoring the Sophos Monitoring Antivirus Update Check. Please find more details below… 

Date Filter Within Device Inventory 

You can now filter by date in the date columns (last response, OS install date, device scan time and device added time) and within the filter builder, using calendar selection and logical operators. 

Calendar selection: provides you with the ability to choose a specific date.

Apple DMA: New device drill down view

We are delighted to announce the latest release of DMA is bringing you a new device drill down view, providing new information and paving the way for various future enhancements.


In this first release, going live later today, devices are now clickable from the devices view:

Once drilled down the new device level screen will provide both asset information and device configuration information specific to that device along with tabs and commands for that device only.

In future releases we plan to enhance both this and the devices view with more information, widgets and features like Filevault and lock/locate.

MSP Manager update: Full conversation history in notifications

We are delighted to announce another highly requested feature is being released in the coming days to MSP Manager.

With this latest release you can now choose to include the full conversation history inside notifications.

Response history inside tickets helps provide a comprehensive record of all communications and actions related to a particular issue. This helps ensure transparency, accountability, and continuity, as anyone viewing the ticket can quickly understand its context, the steps taken, and any resolutions or ongoing issues. Additionally, it facilitates better customer service by allowing support agents to build on previous interactions without needing the customer to repeat information.

Depending on how you want it configured, this can be set by default within the ticket preferences tab to always show or can be set to show when selected inside a ticket
