We are pleased to let you know that we have a few recent updates to N-sight, including enhanced filtering capabilities within the Device Inventory date columns, multiple selection in the North Pane using ‘ctrl+a’ and restoring the Sophos Monitoring Antivirus Update Check. Please find more details below… 

Date Filter Within Device Inventory 

You can now filter by date in the date columns (last response, OS install date, device scan time and device added time) and within the filter builder, using calendar selection and logical operators. 

Calendar selection: provides you with the ability to choose a specific date.

Logical operators: provides you with the ability to select different time frames using the logical operators in conjunction with the calendar picker. For example, ‘between’ certain dates, or greater than/less than a specific date.  

This can also be utilised in the filter builder: 

Control+a Functionality in the North Pane 

You can now select all fields in the North Pane by clicking Control+a, giving you the ability to run tasks against multiple devices. All the devices in the North Pane will highlight blue when selected.

Left-hand Navigation Label Changes  

Our labeling in the left-hand navigation has undergone some minor changes in preparation for a new Assets Helpdesk View that we are working on. 

• Previous ‘Assets’ is now ‘All Devices’  
• Previous ‘Asset Inventory’ is now ‘Device Inventory’ 

Restored Sophos Monitoring in Antivirus Check 

We have restored the Sophos Monitoring Antivirus Update Check for servers and workstations within N-sight. Please note that for Windows workstations, our new Microsoft Security Center AV check is our preferred solution.

This check will update in place, so no changes or manual interventions are required by our partners to update.

New Automated Tasks for Apple  

We have added seven more out-of-the-box Apple Automated Tasks, focused on software installation. The new scripts below can be found by selecting a specific Apple device in the North Pane, clicking on ‘Tasks’ in the South Pane and selecting ‘Add Automated Task’.  

• Gatekeeper Status Check (24×7 & DSC) 
• Enable Gatekeeper Automated Task
• Disable Gatekeeper Automated Task
• Reset Print Queue Automated Task 
• Install software from URL Automated Task
• Install software from Installomator Automated Task

Filtering RAM and Asset Age With Logical Operators  

We are enhancing the filtering capabilities for RAM and asset age by introducing logical operators within the Device Inventory dashboard. This will allow you to refine search results with greater precision and flexibility. Keep an eye out for this in the near future!
