N-central version 2023.9 HF1 addresses a critical UI authentication vulnerability. This issue was responsibly disclosed and we’ve seen no exploitation of it across our customer base. We are recommending all partners upgrade to this version as soon as possible in order to fix this vulnerability prior to any details being published.

This month’s release includes new capabilities and enhancements to Cove Data Protection’s Continuity features, including a public preview of Standby Image to VMware ESXi.
Please be advised we will be publishing an update for Managed Antivirus (MAV-BD). The Breck Agent will be updated to 56.6.1 starting Monday January 15th and available in all regions by Wednesday January 17th.
This release contains our very first set of REST APIs. These new APIs enable partner systems to programmatically interface with N-central to execute common N-central tasks. For this first release, Partners and Vendor integrators alike will be able to develop services to utilize the new ‘Scheduled Tasks’ API to run scripts against target devices and pass variables to those scripts. This first iteration will run tasks immediately, with more features to come in a future release. This release also includes a handful of REST APIs with GET methods for device and customer related information.

New Interactive Charts for Asset Management
As we round out the year, we’re pleased to share that we are rolling out new interactive charts for the Asset Inventory view that was recently introduced. The charts are designed to make it easier for you to see devices under management broken down by OS, type, device model and RAM.
The hardworking holiday elves on Team Cove have been busy, and are proud to announce Cove Data Protection version 23.12, with a wealth of year-end goodness. This month’s new features and capabilities will be released in phases, as noted in each section. The web-based management dashboard and the local Backup Manager agent have both received some major refreshes, including additional new OS support.
Please be advised that we will deliver an update to DNS Filtering integration with N-central on Thursday, December 7th, 2023. This release will not require any upgrade to your N-central server. The DNS Agent will automatically update to version 1.11.0.
Bug Fixes
Resolved an issue that caused an access error when upgrading from v1.10.7. The specific error message seen was Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\DNSFilterAgent\ARSoft.Tools.Net.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.
Fixed an issue that unnecessarily called an API endpoint every 5 seconds to sync.
