We are pleased to let you know that coming Monday April 8th, N-able EDR users will have available RemoteOps.
RemoteOps is a billable Add-on available for your sites using the EDR Complete License providing the advanced capabilities to remotely investigate threats across multiple endpoints and remotely manage your entire fleet. With RemoteOps Incident Responders can remotely investigate, mitigate, and respond to threats by running built-in or custom uploaded scripts directly from their EDR console. You can execute prebuilt scripts for data collection, perform actions, collect forensic artifacts. If the Script Library does not have the required script, you have the full capability to create and upload your own scripts to the Management Console.
We have been working hard in March and have released over 45 improvements this month including updates to DUO MFA to support the new Duo method of authentication
Please be advised we will be pushing an update to activated N-central servers (N-central 2023.5+) as of Wednesday April 3rd for AV Defender (7.9.9.381). This will be available for updates at this time. Release Notes will be available on the new N-able Me following publication.
We are excited to announce that Standby Image to ESXi is now generally available! Partners wanted a more efficient way to address disaster recovery/business continuity cases for customers who use VMware hypervisors and we delivered. We also added the ability to select a network, change network settings, and introduced various UX enhancements.
As we continue to build out DMA we wanted to bring a more familiar feel to the layout similar to how you would use other parts of our products.
DMA allows you to add and manage devices inside the profile deployment tab. Plans for this area are to give significantly more functionality than just profile deployment therefore we have updated this tab to be named “Devices”.
The tab will also now be moved to the landing tab meaning when you click into DMA you have immediate access to the devices you may wish to perform actions on.
We have also updated the Apple Business Manager tab to be named Auto-enrollment as it is more in line with what the area is trying to achieve and is not a direct replacement for ABM
Profile Mismatch Indicator
We have now made it more obvious when profiles that are installed on a device no longer belong to the customer the device belongs to.
NOTE:
N-sight should see these changes immediately once launched.
N-central customers will see these changes, however, the devices tab will show and land on Devices which appears as tab 3 (the tab it’s replacing) until upgraded to N-central Version 24.3 as it required a minor modification to N-central. Once updated the tab will be ordered as tab 1
Patch Compliance is a new N-central Analytics dashboard designed to provide insights into the status and progress of patch management activities for one or many clients.
Designed with partner feedback to match the functional needs and workflows required for day-to-day patch management. This means the dashboard can be used to focus on what needs your attention the most. Identifying issues quickly and through filtering, identify superseding patches, severity of patches, and patch classification.
The out-of-the-box dashboard (available to all on supporting versions) is separated into:
An overview of patches across statuses
Patches that need to be installed
Discovered patches to approve
A dedicated detailed view
The list detailed view is especially useful when drilling down from other tabs to give pre-filtered lists, for example: A list of ‘Critical Windows Server patches pending installation for Acme Inc.’.
The Copy & Edit functionality supports customising the content to create insights and details for further patch statuses or more granular views e.g. all declined patches or all installed security patches etc.
Learn more about the new dashboard in our User Guides.

We are pleased to let you know that we are in the process of rolling out brand new SentinelOne EDR VSS Monitoring Checks in N-sight, helping you proactively monitor for VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) issues. We encourage you to explore the new VSS monitoring feature and make use of the enhanced security monitoring it offers.
We are also excited to let you know we will soon be releasing five additional columns to the Asset Inventory View in N-sight, to help with the device lifecycle management of assets: MAC address, BIOS, External IP Address, Asset Added Time, and Asset Age. We’ll be rolling these out in the coming days, so keep an eye out!
A new Mac Agent has been scheduled for deployment to N-sight on Tuesday 12th March.
This is a small release focusing on 2 improvements:
1. Take Control installation not completing when a new device is added to N-sight
Solves an issue where new devices added to N-sight do not properly install Take Control requiring it to be set to off and then on again.
2. Default Installation Templates no longer applied at agent upgrade
Solves an issue where on upgrade of the Mac agent the system default template was being applied to the devices causing issues with expected running checks on the device.
