With the release of N-able Vulnerability Management views within N-sight, we’re N-hancing your ability to identify, prioritize, and remediate software application vulnerabilities in your managed environment. You can learn more about the new view here: Vulnerability Management (preview).

And you can join the discussion in the N-able Vulnerability Management Preview Group on N-able.me.

With this new capability, we’re excited to expand the capabilities of the Modern Agent to scan software vulnerabilities and provide you with a dashboard that not only displays all the vulnerabilities across your Windows systems but also allows you to filter and sort them to create custom prioritization lists by blending multiple data points like device type, risk score, CVE, and client/site information.

With our robust filter builder, you can configure the view to match your specific needs, ensuring that you always have the most relevant information at your fingertips. You can quickly identify which vulnerabilities need immediate attention and which ones can be scheduled for later.

We also look forward to releasing additional capabilities in the coming weeks like application scanning  for Linux and Mac OS X, Grouping by CVE, CVE Details, and Export to CSV.

Cloud Commander: April 8, 2025 Release

Advanced Notice: Update to RMM Managed Antivirus Bitdefender (MAV-BD) Service (58.0.0) & Agent (58.6.0)

The Webservice and agent release window will start on Tuesday, April 8th. It will be available in all territories by the end of the week. This release provides an update to our MAV- BD service 58.0.0 and agent to 58.6.0

We are excited to introduce the new Customer Portal, designed to make your client’s support experience smoother and more efficient. This new portal provides your clients with access to:

  • Announcements: Keep clients informed about your latest updates or anything that may impact them.
  • Knowledge Base: Allow clients to browse your library of articles to help them find answers and solutions quickly, therefore taking workload off your support desk. For example, self-help guides on common ways to clean a device low on space.
  • Ticket Management: Clients can create, track, and manage support tickets, with each ticket maintaining a detailed history of actions for full visibility into progress.

N-sight: Active Issues Upgrade, New Automation & Monitoring Scripts, Dialog Speed Improvements and Patch Updates

In today’s update, we are pleased to announce an upgrade to the Active Issues view, making it easier to organize and address failing checks at scale, plus the addition of five more automation cookbook scripts, including an easy way to deploy the Adlumin Agent for MDR/XDR partners.

We’ve also improved the speed for several feature settings dialogs, there is an update to Patch Management scheduling reliability, a new Take Control Viewer for Linux, and we’ll be auto-updating the latest Mac GA Agent so all Apple workstations will start to show in the new Assets View.  

All these updates will be rolling out over the next couple of days. Here are all the details…

Active Issues Upgrade 

The Active Issues view enables you to see all monitored assets that are not in a ‘normal’ state and provides an easy, consolidated view of assets with issues. We are excited to announce that the Active Issues screen has been upgraded to have a new look and feel, with multiple enhancements to help you quickly identify and respond to check problems. We will be rolling this out in the coming days!  

The new features include: 

  • Introduction of interactive summary widgets 
  • Column filtering and search 
  • Advanced filtering using the filter builder 
  • Consistency with other modern UI views in N-sight

N-sight: The N-sight API is Now in N-able’s Developer Portal

Introducing the Developer Portal for N-sight

We’re delighted to announce that N-sight’s partner API is now available in the new N-able Developer Portal. This portal combines advanced features like Swagger, sandbox environments, and AI tools to streamline API integration and development. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced developer, this portal enhances efficiency and innovation.

To get started with the N-sight API, or to extend a current integration, just click the N-sight RMM tab top right of the page to go to the N-sight section. For partners already familiar with N-sight’s API, it is the same set of API calls and capabilities you are familiar with from our help documentation.

Key Features of the Developer Portal

  • Interactive API Documentation: Access detailed guides and reference materials, test endpoints directly, and generate code snippets in your preferred programming language.
  • Enhanced Recipes (aka Automation Cookbook): Explore over hundreds of ported scripts and guides with added walkthroughs to explain the code’s functionality, helping you learn as you implement.
  • AI-Powered Script Creation: Describe your requirements, and the portal generates scripts using AI, fully integrated with backend APIs for quick, accurate results.

For example, you could enter a request like “Can you write a PowerShell script that returns the N-sight client, site and servers list” to start off with a script to call the N-sight API.

Advanced Notice: Update to N-sight Managed Antivirus for Mac Bitdefender Agent 1.4.1.57

Please be advised we will be publishing an update for Managed Antivirus for Mac. The agent will be updated to 1.4.1.57 starting Wednesday, April 2nd, and available in all regions by the end of the week.

The latest agent update addresses an intermittent issue where some macOS users experienced failures in updating to the latest definitions. This fix ensures smoother updates, enhancing reliability and security for affected users.
