SolarWinds RMM: Service Release with Updates to Mac Agent, Network Devices

We’re pleased to let you know that this week, we’ve updated network device monitoring in RMM to support a popular firewall vendor – WatchGuard. All you need to do is enable SNMP on your WatchGuard device, and ensure that RMM has been provided with the correct SNMP community string. Once those steps are done, you’ll benefit from the following new features:

Discovery of Asset Data:

  • Manufacturer
  • Model
  • OS Version
  • Version of the Gateway A/V Service
  • Version of the Intrusion Prevention Service

Monitoring of Key Performance Metrics:

  • CPU Usage
  • Active Connections
  • Interface Status

In addition, we’re promoting a new Mac Agent to GA, v3.3.1. The latest agent contains an update for Take Control on Macs to address an installation issue, and follows on from the Mac Agent release earlier in the month that contained many feature enhancements. The new Mac agent will be rolling out to across customer territories in the next few days.
