Over the coming week, we will be releasing an update to MAV agents, starting Tuesday, July 7. The changes will be available across all regions by end of week (July 10). Schedule:

🛠️ Key Changes: 

• This update no longer supports Windows Legacy Operating Systems, including Windows 7, Windows 8.x, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, and Windows Server 2012 R2. This was previously announced: Important MAV-BD Update: Managed Antivirus End of Life and Support for Older Windows Operating Systems. These will stay at 7.9.29.589.
• Scan tasks now display the current scan target, elapsed time, and number of scanned items.
• Local GUI changes
• Osquery has been upgraded to version 5.22.1.
• Security fixes.

🔧 Resolved issues:  

• Fixed an issue that caused some On-demand scan tasks to freeze when multiple tasks were running simultaneously.
• In some situations, the security agent caused high memory usage. This has been resolved.
• Resolved a minor translation issue related to the Vietnamese GUI label.
• Fixed an issue that prevented the security agent from being compatible with a certain SIEM server.
• Resolved an issue where the update process failed with error -2013 during a Reconfigure Agent task.
• Fixed an issue that caused the security agent to generate too many error messages in Event Viewer.
• Fixed an issue that prevented the module from correctly detecting events.
• Resolved an issue where certain applications prevented the security agent from installing.
• Fixed an issue where blocked devices could still display files in certain scenarios.
• Resolved an issue that caused endpoints to restart after a product update outside of configured hours.
• Fixed an issue that caused the Firewall module to block certain VPN service providers.
• Fixed an issue where Antimalware On-access exclusions were not evaluated for processes running from network paths.
• Resolved an issue that caused security agent updates to generate a large number of events in Windows Event Viewer.
