A new version of the Patch Management Engine is being made available to N-central and N-sight. This release focuses on improving checkpoint update detection ahead of Cumulative Update installation and enhancing download fallback behaviour for devices on slow or congested networks.

Improvements Included

• Improved checkpoint update detection for Cumulative Update installation: Improves how PME determines whether a required checkpoint update is already installed on a device prior to Cumulative Update installation, reducing unnecessary installation attempts and preventing errors caused by missing prerequisite baselines. (PMCM-11329)
• Improved download fallback behaviour on slow networks: Enhances how PME handles patch downloads in environments where the probe connection is slow, increasing the default probe download timeout and better differentiating between a stalled transfer and a slow-but-progressing download before falling back to direct internet access. (PMCM-11806)
