We are pleased to let you know we are starting the rollout of promoting the current Windows RC Agent, v10.14.3, to be the new GA Agent. This replaces the previous GA Agent v10.13.8, and is expected to become available to all partners by early October. Once available, please go to the Agent > Agent Auto-Update Settings dialog to deploy the agent out to your Windows servers and workstations.
The v10.14.3 agent includes a new component designed to improve the reliability of Automated Tasks, so that when you instruct N-sight to run a task on demand, it executes this request reliably in near real-time. The same reliability improvement also applies to the ‘Run Checks Now’ feature.
Additionally, the Windows agent upgrade includes an improvement to the Antivirus Update Check to make the Microsoft Security Center the default selection for new checks, including the check detection scan for new devices. This option, which was introduced earlier in the year, has the benefit of handling all third party AV products, including Windows Defender, offering more accurate and reliable AV monitoring.
