We are pleased to announce we’ve enhanced the Microsoft 365 Synchronization with new options aimed at improving the management of domains and mailboxes in Mail Assure and we’ve changed the default values for Identification and Locking methods on the outbound flow.
Microsoft 365 Synchronization
Over the next two weeks, we will be enabling a group of options for a better experience in the synchronization with Microsoft 365, as shown below:
Optionally start Microsoft 365 Sync process
Sync now new button has been added on the Domains Overview page, offering the possibility to start the synchronization process with Microsoft 365 at a convenient time.

This is the same synchronization process that is scheduled with a selected frequency in Microsoft 365 Sync wizard, but being now available on request.
Optionally auto-add domains in Microsoft 365 Sync wizard
Sync all Microsoft 365 domains new option has been added on the Domains step, under Microsoft 365 Sync wizard, offering the possibility to synchronize new domains added in the Microsoft account.
While Microsoft 365 Sync is meant to synchronize the mailboxes from the already selected domains, this option allows adding new domains and their mailboxes in Mail Assure and it is available only if all domains are selected.

By default, this option is disabled, the synchronization being done as usual for the current selected Microsoft 365 domains.

This new option is displayed on the Summary step of the wizard, showing the selected behavior in a similar way as for the rest of the options.

Manage partial Microsoft 365 Sync configurations
Remove sync existing button has been enabled for the situations when the synchronization wizard was not completed, aimed at saving the time that is normally required with a support ticket.
With this option, the tenants that are linked to an admin, but did not finish the process are able to reconfigure the setup.

Manage the products for the Microsoft 365 sync domains
For the domains synchronized with Microsoft 365, the “Manage products” action from the Domains Overview page is not available anymore, as the products shall be managed only through the wizard. This prevents the products management at domain level being affected by the settings done during the wizard synchronization.
Manage Technicians
New log-in notification has been enhanced by adding the technician email address, aimed to avoid the confusion on the login attempt under the main admin.

Authentication settings
- The default value for Identification method has been changed to “Envelope sender”.
- The default behavior when sending messages was changed to Auto lock identity instead of Auto lock user.
Therefore, in case there is an email spam detection for a certain identity, only that identity will be affected when sending messages.
These settings can be configured as needed, at admin level, through Customer Management menu.
