N-able^® Backup Release 21.5 is now available, bringing improved performance for Microsoft 365 SharePoint restore. Also, we would like to provide advance notice of a coming new requirement for customers using Backup for Microsoft 365 to migrate their devices from SolarWinds to N-able.  

Available now: SharePoint restore performance 

SharePoint restore performance is improved by up to six times with this new version, helping you provide even faster and better customer service. 

Coming soon: Microsoft 365 migration 

Customers will soon begin seeing a dialog during login advising them to migrate their Microsoft 365 domains. This migration is required by Microsoft, and unfortunately cannot be automated or done by N-able. More information is available here. Migration must be done by October 1, 2021 to avoid any interruption to Microsoft 365 backups. 

Here is what you will see. The “Grant permissions” button will open a new tab with your Microsoft login page. A global admin account must be used to log in, where you will see our standard permissions request, which must be accepted to complete the process.
