Patch Management Engine Update (v1.2.12)
We have released another enhancement to Patch Management that will have a big impact: Moving forward, Feature Upgrades will not be displayed in the patch approvals list until we have published all the metadata required to successfully install it.
In the past, Feature Upgrades were sometimes detected and offered for install too quickly, without all the necessary metadata, and therefore could fail to install. Now we’ll ensure all the data is there first, then publish – giving you a more robust and reliable Patch Management service!
Managed Antivirus (Bitdefender) Update
Note also the scheduled update to Managed Antivirus (Bitdefender) this week with a number of improvements and bug fixes – please see last week’s post for all the details.
Endpoint Detection & Response Update
In addition, Endpoint Detection & Response is updating this week to the SentinelOne “Liberty SP5” release. This upgrade also brings updated agents for Windows, Mac and Linux. To learn more about the new ‘Exclusions Catalog’ capabilities, ‘On demand scanning’ and much more, check out the full details here.
Please upgrade your agents at your early convenience to take advantage of the latest enhancements and provide the maximum level of protection available. (Do note however, that Mac’s latest ‘Big Sur’ release is not yet supported in the Mac Agent – this is on its way, however we recommend holding off upgrading the Mac agent if the device is already on the ‘Big Sur’ release.)
We’ve also made some further integration improvements so that Endpoint Detection & Response now shows in the Feature Policy Report, in the Device Inventory Report and in the Executive Summary Report.
Take Control Update
Last but not least, we also released an update to Take Control with enhancements for Mac remote access, including support for ‘Big Sur’ – you can read all about it here.
