SolarWinds RMM: Service Release with New Windows RC Agent

We’re pleased to let you know we’re in the process of rolling this week’s RMM release out to customers worldwide, with all territories expected to have the update by Friday. It includes a new Windows RC Agent (v10.8.1) with a set of updates for the new SolarWinds MSP Patch Engine, including support for Firefox, Adobe, Flash and Java, as well as Windows 7 language packs.

The new RC Agent also has enhancements to the Antivirus Update Check with monitoring improvements for several 3rd party AV products, including Trend, AVG, Avast, Panda, McAfee, and ESET.

Note that we’re also updating the feature name “Active Discovery” to “Network Discovery”, following the recent release of the network devices monitoring feature.

Lastly, as part of our routine maintenance we have identified that some custom scripts used in Checks and Tasks are returning large amounts of data, and due to a limited display area, some details may not be viewable. In order to help ensure that you’re seeing the most important data, we have truncated the display to show the last 10k characters of the output.

Here are the release notes for this week’s update,
