We want to let you know that in MSP Remote Monitoring & Management, we’ll soon be updating the default email address for Dashboard alert emails to use a new email domain: @remote.management.
For example, email@example.com will become firstname.lastname@example.org. This update removes a now retired brand reference, and replaces it with a new, generic email address.
To ensure there is no interruption in communications you may wish to add the @remote.management domain to your email whitelist.
Any customers who have used the Mail Templates to set their own ‘from’ email address and/or change the email display name, will continue to receive the emails with those customised settings.
Here are the specific changes:
- All change to ‘RMM Alert <email@example.com>’
- All change to ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’
- And the display names:
- gfi max alerts
- hounddog alerts
- max alerts
- All change to display name ‘RMM Alert’
Note that billing related emails, Dashboard sign-in, and password emails do not use the ‘maxfocus.com’ domain and won’t change with this update.
We’re planning to roll this update out during the week of July 24th, in just over 2 weeks’ time.
We appreciate your understanding for the change, and trust that the advance notice gives you sufficient time to update any settings. We’ll post another update a few days in advance with a specific date, and again on the day of the change.
