Patch Management Engine (PME) 2.13.10 – General Availability

We’re pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) release of Patch Management Engine (PME) version 2.13.10.

This release consolidates improvements delivered during the Release Candidate phase and focuses on improving the reliability and correctness of Microsoft patching, particularly for Microsoft Cumulative Updates and patch classification.

What’s Included

  • Improved Microsoft Cumulative Update installation reliability. PME now attempts to install MSU-based Cumulative Updates using DISM first and automatically falls back to WUSA if needed, reducing installation failures, especially on newer Windows versions (PMCM-10679).
  • Improved detection and filtering of Cumulative Updates, reducing cases where applicable updates are incorrectly excluded when patch titles do not include a Release ID (PMCM-11179).
  • Corrected classification of non-OS patches, ensuring updates such as SQL Server and Visual C++ are no longer incorrectly treated as OS patches (PMCM-11134).
  • Improved consistency of patch metadata reported from devices, reducing cases where patch data may be reported incorrectly (PMCM-11144).

Version Details

  • Patch Management Engine: 2.13.10.5620
  • Third-Party Patch Engine: 2.13.10.5030
  • Diagnostics: 2.13.10.5022
