We’re excited to announce that a new Patch Compliance report will enter Public Preview in N-central Analytics the week of March 23rd.
Read on to learn more about the report itself and other related changes being released ahead of the Public Preview.
The new report
The new easily printable report helps you communicate your customers patch compliance by showing:
- device compliance score
- patch installation score
- additional metrics supporting the scores
- detailed info for individual devices and patches
Think of it as a combination of the Analytics patch dashboard and the Patch Status and Patch Detail reports from Report Manager or Online Reports.

When available, your feedback will help make the report the best it can be before it is officially considered GA! Keep an eye on our help articles for documentation as we enter Public Preview.
What else is changing?
Before the Preview opens, we will be making some changes to ensure that Patch data across all of Analytics is consistent with the new patch report when it’s made available.
Look out for the following changes:
Removal of patch data in the Network Assessment report (week of February 16th)
This is to avoid conflicting information with the new report as the underlying data isn’t the same. We may reintroduce the patch section in the future, pending feedback on the new report.
Removal of patch data in the ESR dashboard (week of February 16th)
This is to avoid conflicting information with the new report as the underlying data isn’t the same. We will reintroduce the patch section as part of planned future improvements to the whole ESR.
Removal of DIM_PATCH_ANDR in Direct Data Access (week of February 23rd)
This is being done because DIM_PATCH_ANDR and DIM_PATCH are exact copies of each other and while we all love patch data in DDA, twin tables seems like overdoing it.
We encourage you to switch to DIM_PATCH in any of your DDA use as soon as possible to avoid any issues.
Renaming of the ‘Patch Compliance’ dashboard to ‘Patch Management’ (week of March 16)
This better reflects the story the dashboard tells, there are no other changes to the dashboard and the underlying data is the exact same as for the new report.
How to join Public Preview
You don’t need to do anything. The report becomes available automatically if you’re running at least N-central version 2024.6.
For the best experience, we recommend version 2025.3.1 or later.
Do I have to wait for Public Preview?
No! We are still accepting partners into the Limited Tech Preview and would love to have you. If you’re keen to get your hands on the report earlier, make sure you’re running at least 25.3.1. and reach out to support or your CSM who will help get you added.
