An updated Release Candidate (RC) build of the Patch Management Engine is being made available to N-central assets configured to use the RC channel.
This update builds on the previous PME 2.13.10 RC and includes additional fixes to improve reliability and data correctness, particularly around Microsoft Cumulative Updates and patch classification.
Improvements Included
- Improved handling and installation of Microsoft Cumulative Updates to increase reliability, especially on newer Windows versions (PMCM-10679).
- Corrected classification of non-OS patches, ensuring updates such as SQL Server and Visual C++ are no longer incorrectly treated as OS patches (PMCM-11134).
- Improved consistency of product metadata received from devices, reducing cases where patch data may be reported incorrectly (PMCM-11144).
- Improved handling of Cumulative Updates when patch titles do not include a Release ID, reducing cases where applicable updates are incorrectly filtered out (PMCM-11179).
