N-able has released Take Control Windows Agent 7.50.19 to mitigate an issue where Windows Defender is interfering with remote screen viewing during Take Control sessions.
Our investigation has identified that Windows Defender is impacting Take Control’s image capture process, causing severe degradation or complete blockage of remote screen viewing. Other session features, such as File Transfer and System Shell, remain fully functional.
This update reduces log verbosity, which has been identified as a workaround to temporarily resolve the issue. With this version, remote sessions should now be possible, though some degradation in performance may still be experienced.
