We are pleased to announce enhancements to Microsoft 365 Synchronization with new option aimed at improving the management of domains and mailboxes in Mail Assure.

We have introduced new options for a better experience in the synchronization with Microsoft 365 and in the reports configuration, as shown below:

Preserve the mailbox settings during Microsoft 365 Sync wizard

We have changed the way on how the mailbox settings are considered in the Microsoft 365 wizard. The settings previously defined at mailbox level are preserved as they are not  overwritten by the global settings done in Microsoft 365 Sync wizard, unless this is specifically enabled.

We have introduced a new option for the situation when the settings at the mailbox level need to be changed by the global ones from the wizard. The new checkbox “Overwrite existing mailbox settings” has been added in the “Settings” step of the wizard and it is unchecked, by default.

We have added the new option on the “Summary” step of the wizard, showing the selected behavior in a similar way as for the rest of the options.

Additionally, we have fixed the issue with the message status not updated when Removed from Protection Report (MMA-9124) and we have made the following improvement: 

Prevent the message automatically released/removed in Protection Reports

Microsoft Safe Links Processing option generates the automatically release or remove for the messages from the Protection Reports. We have enhanced the protection to prevent the automatically release or remove for the suspicious messages. We recommend to verify the allowed and blocked sender lists as this Microsoft option could have introduced unwanted behavior until the mentioned measures have been applied.
