We wish to let you know that we have released a new Windows GA Agent, v10.11.10. This latest agent contains an important update to RMM’s Patch Management feature in order to resolve an issue with patch detection. We advise partners who use Patch Management to upgrade their Windows agent to this new version at their earliest convenience.
Description and resolution of the issue:
On the 24th of November we released a new version of the Patch Management Engine (PME v2.4.0.5136), which devices automatically upgraded to per PME’s standard deployment practice. Unfortunately, an issue was discovered that impacts PME’s ability to find missing patches, causing inconsistent scan results. The problem is not immediately apparent from the RMM dashboard as the patch scan may still show as running successfully.
To resolve the issue, we have created a new Windows GA Agent, v10.11.10. This agent contains a PME update (v2.4.1.5153) that fixes the scan results problem. In this instance, PME’s auto-update mechanism is not able to resolve the issue and you require the new Agent.
Please update to this latest Windows GA Agent at your earliest convenience. You can do this by going to the ‘Agent’ dropdown menu, then select ‘Agent Auto-update Settings’ and follow the steps in the dialog.
Additionally, to help ensure all devices with Patch Management are correctly detecting and installing patches, we are working on the ability to automatically upgrade affected devices to the new GA Agent.
