N-able™ Backup Release 21.8 is out, with more enhancements to Backup for Microsoft 365 and additional improvements to streamline onboarding.

Microsoft 365

• SharePoint backup and restore performance has been improved by up to 70% for large deployments.
• The user interface has been enhanced to display both detected and billable end users. An itemized count of billable users for each Microsoft 365 service is now available both on the main dashboard and in the summary wizard.

• Shared mailbox detection has been improved so that mailboxes with blocked sign-in will be treated as shared mailboxes, and backed up, rather than being detected as unlicensed mailboxes.

Server/workstation backup

• Onboarding new servers and workstations has been streamlined with the most frequently used data sources set as the default.
