SolarWinds RMM: Service Release with Linux Agent Update

Today we are shipping a new RMM Linux agent, v2.0.1. This builds on the previous RC by supporting upgrades of existing Linux devices with agent version 1.0.4, thereby preserving the history and status of the device in your dashboard account.

It also means that going forward, Linux Agent versions can be upgraded using the standard agent auto-update function in RMM. Likewise, removal of Linux Agent 2.0.1 can be performed by removing the device from the Dashboard, the same as with Windows and Mac Agents.

  • Important: Make sure you update the agent version on all your devices regularly to take advantage of feature enhancements, bug fixes and security updates. Go to ‘Agent’ > ‘Agent Auto-update Settings’ to upgrade your devices.

In addition, with this release we’re also adding support for Monitoring Templates for Linux. Simply select Linux as the intended Operating System when creating a new Monitoring Template…
