Patch Management Engine (PME) 2.13.11 – Release Candidate

A new Release Candidate (RC) version of the Patch Management Engine is being made available to N-central assets configured to use the RC channel. This release focuses on improving patch applicability, supersedence accuracy, and Patch Status reliability, particularly for Windows 11 and newer Windows versions.

Improvements Included

  • Improved patch applicability detection for Windows 11: PME no longer relies on legacy detectoid logic for Windows 11 (24H2 and later). Instead, patch applicability is determined using the device’s current build number, reducing false positives and incorrect patch status reporting. (PMCM-11224)
  • Corrected supersedence handling between Feature Updates and Cumulative Updates: Prevents incorrect merging of supersedence data that could cause Feature Updates to incorrectly affect Cumulative Update visibility or status. (PMCM-11181)
  • Improved handling of Windows Feature Update detection via Windows Update: Addresses cases where Windows Update may surface warnings when multiple Feature Update versions are detected, preventing unnecessary errors and reducing Patch Status noise. (PMCM-11009)

Security & Integrity Information

To assist customers using endpoint protection or application control software, the hashes for the PME installer and associated components are published as part of this release. These can be used to validate file integrity and reduce false positives from security tooling.
