We’re pleased to announce the general availability of Asset Tags, a new feature in the Assets View that enables the creation and assignment of tags to devices. Asset Tags streamline device management across roles and workflows.

This functionality will be available to both N-central and N-sight partners over the coming days.

For Level 1 technicians, tags make it easier to filter and identify devices by role, client, location, or priority. This tagging approach accelerates triage and improves response accuracy. Tags like VIP, Break/Fix, or Onboarding provide immediate context, helping teams act faster and with greater confidence.

For Level 3 technicians and escalation teams, tags unlock deeper operational insight and enable smarter automation. Devices can be grouped by function, configuration, risk level, or compliance needs. This added context, such as Critical-Asset or Custom-Build, supports faster root cause analysis and promotes consistency in configuration and operations.

This release introduces static tags, which users can manually apply to devices. In a future update, we’ll introduce dynamic tags, allowing tags to be automatically applied based on filter rules, bringing even more efficiency and intelligence to asset management.
