Effective in this release, Notification Service is graduating to General Availability. Every email template now ships with an unsubscribe link to help with compliance and keep all users blissfully spam-free.

Notification Service:

  • Notification Service: Create event-based email notifications for backups that have failed or completed with errors for all protected servers, workstations, and Microsoft 365 domains.

Continuity:

We’re continuously improving recovery reliability. In this release, we’ve addressed the following issues

  • Recovery Testing: Fixed an issue that caused the error “Inaccessible boot device” during recovery testing.
  • Standby Image – Azure: Resolved a rare scenario that triggered error #700: “Failed to initialize virtual disk file”, caused by a mismatch in the number of physical disks on the restored machine.
  • Standby Image – Hyper-V: Fixed an issue where a change to the virtual machine configuration was incorrectly applied after a subsequent restore.
  • Standby Image – General: Resolved an issue where a restore could not start because the backup registry size exceeded available RAM.
  • Standby Image to Hyper-V (Gen1 Machines): Ensured correct behavior of IDE controller for Gen1 virtual machines to have successful restore.
  • Bare Metal Restore: Addressed a failure that occurred when restoring to a system with an additional drive formatted with ReFS.

Microsoft 365 Restore:

We’ve improved restore resiliency and efficiency by optimizing memory usage during SharePoint and OneDrive restores, reducing resource consumption by up to 10x — resulting in more stable and reliable recoveries, especially in larger environments.
