N-able is pleased to announce the release of Cove Data Protection version 22.11, which includes enhancements to the management console, availability of previously announced Microsoft 365 updates, and other bug fixes and improvements.
Microsoft 365 protection
As previously announced, with this release we now have simplified the role-based ability to initiate restores of Microsoft 365 data. Previously, only a Super User was able to do this. Now any Security Officer has permission to kick off a recovery, provided they have global administrator credentials for the Microsoft 365 domain.
In addition, to make device audits more convenient, we’ve added a new popover to copy audit details more easily. We’ve also improved the readability of items in the Actions column.
Additional updates
- To ensure proper disaster recovery and full functionality of Domain Controllers, the NTDS writer is now included in backups by default.
- In response to customer requests, the Cove restore selection screen now uses virtual scrolling to better manage memory when working with very large directories (10,000+ files).
- A previous issue with case-sensitive network share names has been resolved.
