We are pleased to announce the availability of N-able^TM Backup Release 21.10, bringing a new reporting option, several user interface and usability improvements, as well as support for new versions of Windows and Windows Server. We have also begun rolling out a new in-app authentication method for enhanced security.

Emailing reports to external recipients
With this release, saved views can be emailed directly to recipients outside the MSP’s email domain, making it possible to automatically send scheduled reports to end customers, rather than forwarding them from internal recipients.

UI enhancements
Several important usability improvements have been made, including:

• New fields and useful “copy to clipboard” buttons have been added to the Device properties dialog box.

• Tool tips and clearer labels have been added to the Products definition screen to make onboarding new users easier and more intuitive.

• New links have been added to the Help and Resources section, making it easier to access user guides, the Partner Success Center, troubleshooting resources, interactive guides and release notes. We’ve also added a new in-product link to the Backup media hub, with additional Backup resources and videos.

New Windows Support
N-able Backup now supports the Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 operating systems. More information on this support across other N-able products is available here.

New in-agent authentication
With this release, we will begin to enable a new in-agent authentication mechanism to enhance access security. Once activated, users will no longer be able to open the Backup Manager from a browser using the :5000 method.
