As provisionally announced on the 27th August and 9th September we are pleased to advise that the new Patch Management Engines will be released today. This is slightly later than anticipated however we are pleased they have passed testing are going live:
This build contains the below fixes :
Bug Fixes
- Fixes issue in aggregation where Feature Updates and Cumulative Updates share the same KB number
- Improves handling of error where Patch Status service would fail with “[PME900] Error in WuaDataProvider: Server execution failed (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80080005 (CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE))”
- Fixes issues with Zoom updates where issues arise dependent on how it had been installed.
Improvements
- Improve logging information where error shows as “error code 1058”
- Prevents Patch Status service issues relating to Third Party Patch when Third Party Patch is not enabled
- Hides Silverlight Updates if Silverlight is not installed
- Improved handling of cumulative updates where applicable for multiple versions of Windows
