GFI MAX Backup 13.6 expands Disaster Recovery offering to Hyper-V and offers Beta Tool for Bare Metal Recovery

Greetings,

The GFI MAX Backup team is pleased to announce the general availability of GFI MAX Backup 13.6.  This release adds new platform support capable of protecting virtual machines deployed in  Microsoft® Hyper-V Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV) environments.

We have expanded our hypervisor support for the recently introduced Virtual Disaster Recover (VDR) feature to now perform disaster recovery of physical Windows systems to Hyper-V compatible virtual machines.

In addition GFI MAX Backup is making a BETA version of our new Bare Metal Recovery (BMR) Tool available to partners. Like VDR, the BMR  tool allows automated system recovery without the need to preload an operating system or backup application. BMR will further expand the possibility for partners to implement Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) offerings for their customers while saving valuable time and resources.  A link to download the BETA version of the BMR Tool can be found here <BMRTOOL>.

Finally, this release includes many usability and performance enhancements meant to simplify and speed our partners use of GFI MAX Backup.
