N-sight: Microsoft Entra ID support for N-able Login is available now

N-sight now makes it easier for partners to manage access, reduce friction for technicians, and keep user permissions aligned with their identity policies.

With support for Microsoft Entra ID through N-able Login, partners can extend their existing single sign-on and identity management standards to N-sight. This helps ensure the right people have access at the right time, without adding manual overhead, while creating a more consistent sign-in experience across N-sight, other N-able products, and the broader tools partners already rely on.

N-sight supports Microsoft Entra ID as an authentication provider through N-able Login, allowing partners to configure and manage identity access directly within N-sight.

What this enables

  • Partners can configure Microsoft Entra ID as an external identity provider for N-able Login directly from within N-sight.
  • Users can be automatically provisioned and deprovisioned based on existing Entra ID workflows, helping ensure access stays aligned with internal identity policies.
  • Once provisioned via Entra ID, users are created in N-sight and appear in User Management with the role set to Pending Configuration.
  • A Superuser or Agent Key user must assign an appropriate N-sight role before access is granted.
  • If a provisioned user attempts to sign in without an assigned N-sight role, access is denied, and an authentication error is returned.
  • After a valid N-sight role is assigned, the user is redirected to Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and can sign in successfully.

Important to note

  • Authentication is handled by Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Authorisation and access control remain governed by N-sight roles.
  • Agent Key users cannot be created or managed through Entra ID.
