SolarWinds RMM: Service Release with Patch Management Engine and Check Clearing Update

We’re pleased to share the latest set of improvements in RMM, along with recap a of all the items we released in April – click the video for a quick 3 minute overview of last month’s highlights:


This week, we have an another update to the Patch Management Engine with the release of PME v1.1.15. Please note that Patch Management will no longer offer patches to EOL devices that have not been enabled with ESU. The latest update also includes hardening of the agent for when an endpoint runs out of disk space, along with improved detection of Service Stack Updates on Windows Server 2016 and 2019.

We’re also pleased to highlight an update to check clearing in RMM’s south pane: Going forward, when you clear a check you’ll see two options: “Save” and “Save and Refresh”…

Click “Save” to only refresh the Checks tab. It does not refresh the client tree panel or the north pane, which makes the action a lot quicker. If you do want to refresh all 3 panels, just click “Save and Refresh” (i.e. the existing behaviour when clearing checks). It means you now have the option to work through failed checks more quickly and leave the full dashboard refresh until the end of your session. This update will be rolling out in the next couple of days.
