SolarWinds RMM: Features and Updates Release, March 30th

We’re pleased to share the details of this week’s SolarWinds RMM update, which contains a set of customer support bug fixes and feature improvements, including a couple of updates for NetPath, the newly released feature that allows you to monitor for and investigate network issues.

This week’s release also includes an enhancement to the Device Inventory Report, allowing you to run the report in the background and export the data to CSV, to help with large reports in particular, as they may take some time to generate.

UPDATE: NetPath UI update to prevent users adding a protocol prefix to URLs, such as http:// or ftp://, which caused paths to report a failed state
UPDATE: NetPath UI update to automatically return search results when creating a new path, ensure there’s always a list of devices visible to pick from
UPDATE: The Active Discovery Agent has a new minimum requirement of .NET 4.5 which it will install silently in the background if missing
UPDATE: The Active Discovery Agent has updated its SNMP library to v9.0.7, addressing the cause of a memory leak
UPDATE: Ability to run the Device Inventory Report in the background and send an email with link to the CSV when ready
BUGFIX: Performance update to the ‘list_devices_at_client’ Dashboard Integration API call to handle large device sets
BUGFIX: Device Filters update to the Operating Systems filter to better handle all Mac OS versions
