MSP RMM Release… Mobile Apps Update

We’re pleased to announce we just released an update to the MSP Remote Monitoring & Management mobile apps, with a couple of nice feature enhancements.

Firstly, the update paves the way for the Android and iOS apps to run the new MSP Anywhere-powered Take Control feature, which recently went GA in the main RMM Dashboard.

This is the first update in a two-step sequence to add MSP Anywhere Take Control to the mobile apps: Next, we’ll be launching two new Take Control companion apps, one for iOS and one for Android. Once in place, you’ll be able to use the MSP Anywhere version of Take Control by connecting through the Take Control companion app to your clients’ devices. Please bear with us a few more days while we get those companion apps rolled out – we’ll let you know as soon as they’re up!

We’ve also added the ‘username’ and ‘description’ fields to device search in the apps – thanks for your feedback about this when we first launched the new mobile apps. The updated search makes it easier for you to find the right device quickly, and you can see the usernames and descriptions on the Device Info screen – here’s an example…

The latest apps are now available in the Apple App and Android Play Stores, or click the links below to find out more:

If you’ve not yet installed the RMM mobile apps, please give them a try! Just pop over to the App or Play store on your phone and do a search for SolarWinds MSP. Now you can keen eye on your customers wherever you are. Happy Apping!

KNOWN ISSUE NOTE: We’re aware of a problem with the TeamViewer-based Take Control feature in the mobile apps. We’re working with our partner for a fix of the issue and will make this available as soon we can.
