In today’s release, we’re pleased to announce an upgrade to Managed Online Backup so that it uses the latest MAX Backup version (v16.5). This newer version benefits from general performance improvements and adds support for the following two feature enhancements in Backup Manager:
- Exchange Granular Restore: Perform granular item level restores for Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013, & 2016.
- Expanded support for Dynamic Disks during Bare Metal Recovery: You can now convert dynamic disks to basic disk during BMR. We’ve also removed the unnecessary warning during System State Backup.
Note that the new Backup Manager requires the new RC Agent, v10.3.2. Please also be aware that with this update, Exchange Granular Restore becomes available with GA Agent v10.2.0 – this is an earlier Beta version of this feature. The latest, Generally Available version of Exchange Granular Restore is bundled with Agent v10.3.2 – the MAX Backup release posts (see v16.5, v16.4, v16.3) have more details on the difference between the Beta and GA version of Exchange Granular Restore.
Here are the release notes for today’s update…
