Today’s Dashboard release focuses on a couple of improvements to the Bitdefender-powered Managed Antivirus service.

Over the next couple of days, we will be updating the Antivirus Update check for MAV Bitdefender: The existing Daily Safety Check, titled “Antivirus Update Check – Managed Antivirus (Bitdefender)” is being replaced with a new 24×7 Check, called “Managed Antivirus Update Check (Bitdefender)”. This is to lessen the false positives often seen when the DSC runs before the machine is online and has updated its definitions. The new check will also be easier to read, as the definition grid will reflect the time the machine updated, rather than the last time the DSC ran.

As we roll out the update, the device will automatically replace the old check with the new one. Please allow the device a normal agent cycle to fully sync the new check and to remove the previous one.

Here’s a screenshot of the new Managed Antivirus check’s ‘More Information’ dialog for reference. The new check will automatically replace the old check after the device has synced.
