We’re pleased to announce that we’re lining up our next Feature Release, in which we have the following two updates:
- Detailed patch information: Double click installed, missing, ignored and pending patches to see detailed info for the patch, and a summary status for the selected client. Use the information at your fingertips to decide whether to approve or ignore the patches.
- Brand new Managed Online Backup reports: The three Managed Online Backup reports are getting a make-over, so you can see at a glance exactly what the backup status is for all your devices, with new graphical summaries, granular filtering options, CSV export, and more.
In addition to these two enhancements, the release also contains a few smaller improvements, including a trio of updates to Automated Tasks, so that it’s clearer you can trigger Tasks automatically when Checks fail, a workflow improvement to make the descriptive name field optional, and better handling of double quotes in custom scripts for Tasks.
Here’s a preview of what’s coming:
Patch Management:
- On the Patches tab in the south pane, double click a patch (1) to see detailed information (2). Then pick your next step: have the Patch inherit its action from the policy for the Site, approve it, ignore the patch, or take no action.
- View Microsoft and non-Microsoft patch info alike, for any patch status, whether it’s installed, pending, failed, etc. (4)
Managed Online Backup Reports:
To see the new and improved Managed Online Backup Reports on release, go to the Reports menu and select any of the three Managed Online Backup reports. They all benefit from the following improvements:
- A new, modern look and feel
- Graphical summaries to quickly see the backup status across clients, sites and devices
- More granular filtering options for more detailed reports
- ‘Client Group’ aware: Only see clients in a user’s client group
- CSV export, Print button, and column selection as standard
And finally…
The staging release notes are below. Please note that staging release notes are subject to change. Final release notes will go out with the release.
