Dear Customers,
We’re pleased to announce that Dashboard v5.51 is being released overnight, so that it will be available in advance of the working day tomorrow, Thursday 30th of October. With this release, Agent v9.7.2 replaces Agent v9.6.1 as the production agent and becomes available for auto-update.
This release contains a significant update to Managed Online Backup, allowing you to take advantage of many of the features available in the standalone MAX Backup product:
- Virtualised Environments: You can now backup and restore Microsoft Hyper-V as well as VMware virtual machines at a host level
- Virtual Disaster Recovery: Leverage System State and essential file system backups to rapidly recover physical system back as a Hyper-V or VMware compatible virtual machine
- New HTML-Based Backup Manager: Enjoy improved user experience, management, usability and enhanced responsiveness
- Easier Seed-Loading: Initiate seed-loading from within the Backup Manager at any time, not just during the initial backup
- In-place Exchange Restore: Restore Exchange 2007 and later systems straight to the Exchange Server
We’re excited to introduce these enhancements to Managed Online Backup and to help broaden your opportunity for offering clients a business continuity and data security solution, all from within the MAX RM Dashboard. Please click our Quick Start Guide to find out more. We’ll also be hosting a webinar next week on the new Managed Online Backup features, please visit our website for details.
In addition, we’re pleased to introduce a new Mail Traffic Report section for App Control, allowing you to see inbound and outbound email traffic details per user account for both MAX Mail and Office 365.
Please note that we’re also continuing to make Dashboard UI improvements following the Dashboard UI upgrade earlier in the month, with several items currently passing through QA. We’re planning a release for these shortly.
With Agent v9.7.2 GA becoming available for auto-update, you’ll be able to fully roll out previous enhancements such as the new Failed Login Check and the Agent Auto-Uninstall feature to all your devices (please note that Agent Auto-Uninstall requires Agent v9.7.2 or above) – see below for full release notes.
Lastly, we would like to take this opportunity to draw you attention once more to the email update taking place for the MAX RM Dashboard, as described on the MAXfocus Status Blog.
With Kind Regards,
The Team at MAXfocus
