GFI MAX RemoteManagement – Dashboard v5.41.4 and Agent v9.5.0 (RC) Release

Hi Everyone,

I am pleased to announce that Dashboard v5.41.4 and Agent v9.5.0 (RC) are being released overnight, with Agent v9.4.0 turning GA, so that they will be available in advance of the working day tomorrow, Friday 24th January.

This is a routine Service Release primarily focused on systems performance, minor feature updates and bug fixes. That stated, the release does include the following great enhancement to the MAX RM API service:

  • We are introducing 7 new API calls specifically designed for reporting, enabling you to perform trend analysis and report on historical data:

list_performance_history
list_outages
list_drive_space_history
list_exchange_storage_history
list_mav_scans
list_mav_threats
list_mav_quarantine
list_mob_sessions

  • And we are introducing 3 additional API calls for Managed Anti-Virus, so you can track and report on supported AV products, including historical definitions:

list_supported_av_products
list_av_definitions
get_av_definition_release_date

The API enhancements broaden the range of MAX RM data for integrating into reporting and data analysis tools, and take the total number of available API calls to over 50 data points. Please refer to the “Integration” section in the MAX RM helpfile for full details on the MAX RM API service.

The release also introduces support for three more Anti-Virus products: “Webroot SecureAnywhere”, “VIPRE Internet Security 2014” and “VIPRE Antivirus 2014”, as well as several improvements and fixes to PSA integrations.

Lastly, just a reminder to Managed Online Backup customers that the VMware component will be charged for from 1st of January. Any customers using the recently launched ServiceDesk should also be aware that January activity is billable.
