Overnight tomorrow, Thursday 12th September, we will be releasing Dashboard v5.37, which includes Beta1 of our new Mobile Device Management feature.

In order to accommodate Mobile Devices in the Dashboard, some changes to the layout were required. Rather than adding Mobile Devices as a separate section, we took the opportunity to consolidate Servers, Workstations and Mobile Devices in tabs in the main window making it easier to switch between different types of device at a client (something that has been requested often on LinkedIn). We have also added paging, greater control over problem filters and relocated some controls to help ease navigation.

Everything that was possible in Dashboard v5.36 is still possible in Dashboard v5.37, but we hope that the revised layout and new filters will make navigating and using the Dashboard easier. Please see the following short document more details and screenshots.

This is the first of many changes we will be making to both the look and feel of the Dashboard and how it is used. Further changes are planned to fonts, icon sets and styles as well as the introduction of an Overview tab (showing a summary of problems across all device types). In the meantime, we hope you find the changes introduced with Dashboard v5.37 useful and look forward to hearing your feedback.
