10:15 AM Pacific — In response to the significant spike in inbound traffic, our engineering team has redirected traffic to different centralized anti-spam / anti-virus engines, and have selectively removed one of the back-end filtering engines which was not handling the substantial increase in processing requirements. Our monitoring is showing that these changes have helped substantially; load levels are still high but closer to the normal range, and our expectation is that few if any messages are now being deferred. No messages would have been lost during this time, and outbound processing was unaffected.
We will continue to post relevant updates here, and appreciate your patience as we have worked through this.
