Linux Monitoring Agent v1.0.0 [RC1]

Hi Everyone,

The Linux Monitoring Agent will be available on Release Candidate as of tomorrow, Thursday 20th December. The full release notes are as follows: 

1.0.0 [RC1] – 2012-12-20

  • FEATURE: Package Manager Check
  • BUGFIX: TCP Service Checks configured to ‘Alert if port is not accepting connections’ will now correctly fail when invalid address is entered
  • BUGFIX: Correctly upload timezone bias from devices that are not using GMT

Known issues

Slight differences in functionality may exist between the Windows and the Linux Agent, including:

  • Hardware Asset Tracking does not include the manufacturer of the floppy disk drives
  • Hardware Asset Tracking does not include monitor and video card information
  • Hardware Asset Tracking does not include the physical chassis type

Dashboard v5.31, also available on Thursday 20th December, includes Linux servers in Client Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports for the first time.
