Hi Everyone,
We have just deployed Dashboard v5.26.3 to all territories to alleviate a problem, caused by a very small number of devices continually quarantining the same threat (tens of thousands of times per day). The release note is as follows:
- BUGFIX: Temporarily suspend updating threat and trace counts in Managed Antivirus Check for a very small number of devices that are continually quarantining the same threat (thousands of times per day) to alleviate performance problems and facilitate further investigation.
This has contributed to the performance problems that some system instances (particularly Australia but also UK, Europe and Germany) have experienced over the past two days, but we are confident that this release together with a number of configuration changes we have made to backend database servers should alleviate the problem.
We are continuing our investigations into those devices that are continually quarantining the same threat and plan to have a fix in place in Dashboard v5.27 that, along with Agent v8.14.1, is scheduled to be made available on Release Candidate next week.
Together, Dashboard v5.27 and Agent v8.14.1 RC will update Patch Management to LANGuard 2012, adding support for all Microsoft Updates as well as usability improvements to control if patches are installed when a device that was previously offline at the scheduled time, comes back online.
In addition, Dashboard v5.27 will contain new session and selection based reports for MOB. Agent v8.14.1 RC will also contain improvements to Event Log and Performance Monitoring checks (including Hyper-V). Further details and full release notes will be circulated next week.
The release of Beta2 of the Linux Montioring Agent has been further delayed and so we will be making Beta1 available on both SUSE (SUSE, openSUSE) and Debian (Debian, Ubuntu) families of distributions. Again, further details and full release notes will be circulated next week.
With kind regards,
The GFI MAX Team.
